As I'm sure many of you have heard, we must again bid farewell to one of our friends and players.  Kyle Redmer passed away last Friday.  Here is the information I have.  Rest in peace Kyle.  We'll all miss you.

Everything you need to know for the end of the season, Vegas and next season

We now have the brackets set for the City Championship.  It will be held at Buggy Wheel on 5/18/13.  This will be a one-day event.  They will have their kitchen open throughout the day.  Here is the first brackets and times to be played:

Executioners will play 8 Balls and a Rack at  9:00 AM

L-Dog Runners will play Pockets at 9:00 AM

Buggy Wheel Boyz will play Stickmen at 11:30 AM

Predators will play Ringers at 11:30 AM

Single Qualifiers:  As usual, we will be running qualifiers for the Singles Tournament at the Banquet.  These tournaments are 8 person tournaments with the top 2 qualifying.  We will continue to run the tournaments as long as there are enough players to play.  It is a $5.00 entry each time, and you may buy back in as many times as you wish to qualify.  There is one exception, which is the day-of-banquet qualifier.  That one is a $10.00 entry fee.  There will be a maximum of 16 players, with 1 qualifying out of every four players.  There is no extra buy in.

Banquet:  The Banquet will be held at Ft. Lowell Depot on 6/8/13.  3501 E. Ft. Lowell.

10:30 AM – Day-of singles qualifier

11:30 AM – Singles Tournament

1:00 PM – 3:00 PM – Tuesday teams

3:00 PM – 5:00 PM – Wednesday teams

VNEA has included a Scotch Doubles Tournament on 5/23/13.  The format is still male/female.  Sign up is 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM and match play starts at 5:00 PM.  They will also still be running the Mini Tournaments as well.

The cost for 8 ball and 9 ball singles has changed to $150.00 for men and $125.00 for women (includes greens fees and VNEA admin fees).

The team greens fees for team play is still $200.00 per team.

Banquet tickets for Las Vegas are now being pre-ordered.  The cost of the Banquet ticket is $20.00.  If you do not pre-order a ticket, you can still purchase them in Vegas for $45.00.  The will no longer be free banquet tickets handed out.  No exceptions.  The banquet is the end-of-Tournament-gathering that happens on 6/1/13.  This is not the Beer Bash which is still free.

All greens fees, singles fees, banquet ticket fees must be paid by 4/19/13.

The Captains Meeting for next season will be on 6/11/13 at 7:30 PM at Midtown Bar and Grill – 4915 E. Speedway.  This will be where you sign your teams up and get your score sheets and envelopes for next season.

Next seasons play will start on 6/18/13 and 6/19/13.
